The Bosnian American Genocide Institute and Education Center (BAGI) is a newly established not-for profit charitable and educational organization. BAGI is dedicated to scientific research pertaining to the genocide of Bosniaks/ Bosnian Muslims and to educate others about the holocaust, genocide and other forms of crimes against humanity and international law.  

The purpose of the mission is reconciliation by teaching universal lessons that combat hatred, prejudice and indifference.

The process of reconstruction of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the common life of all its constituent peoples must begin from the truth about the acts of aggression by Serbia, Croatia and Montenegro against Bosnia and Herzegovina, the genocidal policies which were created in Serbia and enforced in Bosnia, the truth about the genocide of Bosniaks (1992-1995) and conviction of its perpetrators in the Hague International Court of Justice.

On behalf of the Bosnian American Genocide Institute and Education Center (BAGI), as well as on my own behalf, it is both an honors and a pleasure to extend to you my most sincere welcome! This website is committed to informing you of the relevant academic, social, and all other activities of the Institute, in a thorough and timely fashion.

The Institute makes up part of the Institute for Research of Crimes against Humanity and International Law University of Sarajevo. As an academic institution, the Institute is dedicated to scientific research on crimes against humanity and international law. Specifically, our goal is to document and accurately illustrate all materials related to acts of Genocide. While demonstrating these facts we encourage and support academic and scientific dialogue on the matter based on democratic principles and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

Our aspirations are moral and humanitarian in nature and we only differentiate between justice and injustice. The Institute experience and knowledge acquired in the area of studying the holocaust, genocide, and other forms of crimes against humanity and international law, constitute a relevant basis for profiling and leading all scientific, thus educational, current and future projects of the Institute, and its scientific-based activities. The Institute shall pay special attention to the education and further development of young scholars in the area of studying the holocaust, genocide, and other forms of crimes against humanity and international law.

We stand in solidarity for all genocide victims and assert that in order to prevent further genocides in the world, it is crucial that we take upon ourselves the responsibility to raise awareness by furthering understanding as well as condemning the atrocities inflicted on the Bosnian people in the 20th century.

In remembrance of  20 years since the beginning of the siege of Sarajevo, we invite you to the opening of the BAGI exhibition: “Traveling Memorials: Crimes  Against Children  During Aggression Against B&H and Genocide Against Bosniaks 1992-1995”

An important goal for B&H: to be a part of NATO and the EU; Open Appeal  for an integrated, multiethnic and European Bosnia and Herzegovina; To be sent to the United Nations, OSCE, USA, Canada  and the European Union, as well as to the official state bodies of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
